Chew Choon is well-known for his wildlife paintings, he has ventured many times into the wilderness of south and east Africa. With his Asian heritage and training, he has successfully created a unique style of wildlife paintings using the Chinese brushstrokes, capturing the essence of this primitive beauty into his artworks. He has exhibited in Australia, china, France, Japan, Kenya, United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia and many others. 

In 1991, Chew Choon won a number of international awards including; The Whaletail International Wildlife Exhibition Gold Award in Kenya, Africa and Wildlife artist of the year “Runner-up”and SWA in London, UK. 

Since 1995, the annual inclusions of his major works in Christie’s and Bonham’s auctions have brought him international recognition. Many of his artworks are in the collection of international art lovers.
